Magyar Vagon’s headquarters are located in the capital of Hungary.

ISTVÁNTELEK

Brakes, one of the most important elements of road safety, are manufactured in Istvántelek as well as the repair of brake components too. The site has the most modern tools and environmentally friendly solutions for their activities.

DUNAKESZI

Magyar Vagon Dunakeszi Kft. satisfies the needs of both domestic and international customers even in large volumes. Its services are extensive, it excels in the fields of manufacturing, repair and maintenance. Its most significant current foreign order is passenger railway coaches manufactured for the Egyptian National Railways Company.

SZOLNOK

Magyar Vagon Vasúti Kft.’s vehicle repair facility in Szolnok is one of the oldest and largest railway vehicle repairs sites in the country. The site provides high-quality railway vehicle repair, component manufacturing, maintenance and renewal services, serving – among others – the domestic passenger railway companies and companies outside of the company group.

BÉKÉSCSABA

The Békéscsaba site was originally built in 1916 as a regional light railway heating house. At that time freight and passenger transport was mainly provided by steam locomotives. Due to the development of motorization, the light railway became redundant, and the activity was discontinued in 1968. Today, the site repairs electric machines and performs winding of SW engines.

FÉNYESLITKE

After two years of construction, the building and tracks of the repair shop in Fényeslitke are handed over in 1973. Its main activity remained the run-based repair of freight wagons, but the capacity was adjusted to the volume of freight wagons operating in the loading area. Since 2016, its activity was expanded to include metal structure production.

DUNAÚJVÁROS

At the Dunaújváros site the railway freight wagon repair building was built in 1970. The main activity is the repair of freight wagons and locomotives.

SZÉKESFEHÉRVÁR

The Székesfehérvár site provides component manufacturing and complex railway vehicle repair, maintenance and renewal services. More than 125 years of history, railway engineering expertise and continuous development are the basis of today’s high-level production activities.

CELLDÖMÖLK

To this day, the site handles run-based repairs and light maintenance of freight wagons. The “B” type freight wagon repair shop was opened in 1988 in Celldömölk’s marshalling yard.

    MÁV designates the area for its new main workshop in Dunakeszi.

    The main workshop produces one railway coach per day; the number of employees exceeds 3000.

    The company’s self-developed Eurofima Intercity car wins the grand prize at the Industria exhibition.

    Dunakeszi Vehicle Repair Workshop begins production of railway passenger coaches for the Egyptian National Railways.

SZOLNOK

  • 1856

     

    A Szolnoki Járműjavító megnyitotta kapuit. Ez Magyarország egyik legrégebbi és legnagyobb vasúti járműjavító bázisa.

  • 1910

     

    Átadták a 9500 négyzetméter alapterületű, száz kocsijavító álláshellyel rendelkező teherkocsi-javító csarnokot.

  • 1972

     

    Megkezdődött a négytengelyes személykocsik javítása, amely jelentős fejlesztést igényelt.

  • 1993

     

    Létrejött a MÁV VAGON Vasúti Jármű Gyártó és Javító Kft. Székesfehérváron.

  • 2008

     

    Elindult a folyamat, amely eredményeként a Magyar Vagon Vasúti Kft. képes vasúti járművek gyártására.

  • 2019

     

    Elkészül a MÁV-START első 20 darab saját forrásból gyártott, nemzetközi forgalomra alkalmas, másodosztályú, új generációs InterCity-kocsija.

  • 2021

     

    A székesfehérvári és a szolnoki járműjavítók egy járműjavító cégként működnek tovább telephelyeikkel együtt. A feladatok között szerepel többek között a MÁV-START személykocsi és vontatójármű állományának fővizsgáztatása, javítása és felújítása.

  • 2024

     

    Létrejön a Magyar Vagon Csoport.
